Green Owl Home

Green Owl is a 3000 sq. ft, 2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and large open spaces to stretch out and relax in.

The spacious living room with vaulted ceiling, large windows and comfortable furniture is a perfect place to spend time with family and friends or hold a retreat. A large stone fireplace provides heat and a cozy hearth to gather around in the winter. A ceiling fan and open windows provide plenty of air circulation in the summer.

The Dining room offers gorgeous views, an antique dining room table that seats 12 and high ceilings all of which make this a lovely room to simply have breakfast in or if you’re are planning a retreat or family gathering it can accommodate a large group with comfort and elegance. Green Owl Home rental includes private use of the kitchen for cooking 3 meals a day during your stay. This includes use of all the appliances except the refrigerator in the kitchen, for large gatherings and retreats use of kitchen refrigerator can be arranged. For smaller groups there is an apartment size refrigerator in the dining room that is solely for guest use. All water flowing into the house is well water. It has been filtered and tested. It is safe to drink. It contains the minerals iron & manganese so it is a slightly brown which you may notice in the toilets or if you draw a bath. There is reverse osmosis filtered water at the sink in the kitchen which you are welcome to use and fill up water bottles. Note: Hot water takes a while to get hot, but it does get hot! Wrap around porches - Please feel welcome to enjoy the views and fresh mountain air on the spacious front and back porches. Whether you are having morning beverages or an evening drink kickback and relax at the outdoor coffee table, high seated chairs or lounge chairs.

Note: My husband and I have an attached apartment at the back of the house and an office; both have separate entrances which we use when we have guests. We respect and value guest privacy, we will not be walking through the house when we have guests. 

Guest interaction

I am often present in my private apartment, working in the art studio, in the gardens or in the office. I am happy to answer questions, give directions and recommend local restaurants and activities. Sometimes I may be not home in which case I will be available via texting and cell phone.
